Davies Allen Accounting Firm Interviews Bubba Page of LaunchLeads

D + A: Tell us a little bit about yourself and your businesses:

Bubba Page: I am a serial entrepreneur, mostly known for founding LaunchLeads.com, a B2B sales appointment setting and outsourced sales company in 2009, bootstrapped and has continued to grow every year since. I’ve been lucky to receive awards like the Utah 40 Under 40, Top 100 Venture Entrepreneur, Peak100, and Emerging Executive awards over the years.
I married my better half – Jordan Page, founder of FunCheapOrFree.com & BudgetBootcamp.com, we have 5 kids along with our yellow lab.
Bubba loves dating his wife, playing with his kids, mountain biking, dirt biking, snowboarding, and volleyball.

LaunchLeads.com : We verify, qualify and tee up appointments or transfers. You close the deals.
We are the leader in B2B Sales Leads and Qualified Appointments. Our clients know that our targeted, qualified sales appointments produce highly valuable conversion rates. We stand by our product and partnerships so much that we have developed our Partnership Driven Model, where we know that we must make sure our leads and appointments meet your standards and unique qualifications or we will not be able to keep your business.

D + A: When were your companies founded?

Bubba Page: My first business was started in college in 2005. Then LaunchLeads in 2009. My most recent, Outro.com was 2014.

D + A:  How did you get your start? Have you always known what you wanted to do with your career?

Bubba Page: Early in college I thought I was going to get an MBA and go the corporate route, but after I was invited to join my first start up, I caught the bug and knew that was exactly what I wanted to do. My wife was okay that I started LaunchLeads in 2009, but with one caveat. If I couldn’t support our family on my own once we had our first child, then I would need to quit and get a job. After 1 year of no income (my wife supported us), we had our first child and I was able to take my first paycheck! From there it is history.

D + A: How do you feel like relationships have shaped your business?

Bubba Page: Relationships are #1 in business. Honestly, everything comes down to the relationships I have created and reputation we have built that makes our businesses what they are today. There is no substitute for building relationships.

D + A: What’s your number one piece of advice to young entrepreneurs wanting to start their own companies?

Bubba Page: Just do it. Try something right now. Don’t wait, don’t make excuses, just go do something. You will most likely fail, but fail fast and go start something else. If you can’t support your family, then go get a job and start something on the side. But honestly just do it. 99% of people never take the 1st step.

D + A: What defines success for you personally?

Bubba Page: Success to me is purely around family. David O. McKay: “No Other Success Can Compensate for Failure in the Home” Doesn’t matter how much money or fame you have, if you failed at home, you failed, period. Put your spouse 1st and kids 2nd and work comes after.

D + A: What’s your advice and experience with juggling multiple projects at once? Do you have any special tips or tricks that keep you organized?

Bubba Page: Use digital tools to stay organized. Google Calendar, Gmail, Google Docs, create a system for taking notes on your conversations and relationships – Linkedin is amazing for relationship building and some customer relationship manager can help with your conversations.

D + A: Can you tell us how Davies Allen has helped you and your business?

They have taken care of the things I am not good at. They allow me to focus on my strengths and they can handle the bookkeeping, tax planning, taxes, and strategically thinking through my business and personal situations. These guys have gone above and beyond to help make sure things are up to date, clean and taken care of better than any other group I have worked with. Plus, they are just cool people!
